Raised within the company founded by his father Felice, Oreste develops a passion for leather craftsmanship from an early age and, in the early 1900s, takes the reins of the business.

Visionary and driven by noble ideals, Oreste dedicates himself to growing Franzi
under the sign of innovation, social commitment and quality.

During his extensive travels across Asia, driven by curiosity and a commitment to sustainability, Oreste learns the most advanced vegetable tanning techniques and introduces them into Italy.

In 1912, he founds Conceria Monzese, the first European tannery using only plant-based agents for leather tanning.

Under Oreste’s leadership, Franzi gains increasing international prominence, leading to the opening of new offices and production sites in Italy.

Deeply concerned about his employees’ well-being, Oreste dedicates himself to improving working conditions in Franzi’s factories, implementing modern incentive and welfare policies.

Oreste infuses energy into every aspect of the brand, remaining at the helm through the years of growth and success that earned him, in 1933, the title of Knight of the Order of Merit for Labour.
