Care and repair
For more than 150 years, our artisans have worked with passion to create enchanting, functional, and durable objects. We are proud to select the finest materials available and to use sophisticated manufacturing techniques that combine tradition and innovation. Leather is a natural material, and therefore each item may exhibit different shades and characteristics, making it unique.
To preserve the perfection of the bag over time, we recommend following these instructions:
- Do not overfill or press the bag. This helps maintain its original shape; - Keep away from heat sources (e.g., radiators or inside an overheated car) and avoid direct and prolonged exposure to light;
- Protect from water and keep away from humid environments. If exposed to rain, blot it with a dry, soft cloth and let it dry naturally;
- Do not allow contact with oils, creams, detergents, makeup, or perfumes;
- Be careful not to rub the bag against rough or abrasive surfaces. Light scratches can be reduced if gently massaged with a soft, dry cloth;
- Avoid prolonged contact with dark clothing if the bag is light-colored, and vice versa if the bag is dark-colored;
- To polish metal parts, use only a soft, light-colored, dry cloth, without using any type of cleaning or polishing product;
- Do not use products to preserve or revive the leather, such as waxes, creams, or waterproofing agents. These substances can irreversibly alter the color and finishes. Over time, the bag may acquire a patina. This is associated with the natural origin of the materials used and will give character to the object itself;
- Store the bag inside its fabric dust bag when not in use, preferably in an upright position. Ideally, fill the bag with light-colored paper or fabric to maintain its shape. It is also recommended to detach, roll up, and store the shoulder strap separately.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ATTACHING THE SHOULDER STRAP
The bag's shoulder strap is located inside the central pocket. Gently remove it from its fabric bag and take off the protective paper.
Open the end of the shoulder strap, unhook the leather tab from the metal button to which it is attached, and pull it out of the loop.
- Insert the leather tab, from the inside out, into the metal ring at the base of the bag's handle.
- Fasten the leather tab to the metal button after inserting it into the loop.
- Repeat the procedure for both sides of the bag, ensuring that the ends of the shoulder strap are securely attached to the metal buttons. To adjust the length of the shoulder strap to your needs, use the buckle by choosing one of the available holes.
